Day 1: Fly overnight to Italy

Day 2: Milan Malpensa – Peschiera del Garda – Verona – Abano Terme

Arrive in Milan today, meet your tour director from Alex Collection at the airport, and drive to Lake Grada.

Stop in the renowned town of Peschiera del Garda.

Lunch at a restaurant.

In the afternoon a guided tour of the city of Verona. The tour will start from Piazza Brà: a beautiful square overlooking many little restaurants and bars Alongside each other, a line of palaces of different periods, one nicer than the other. Visit the Arena of Verona (internal). Continue to Via Mazzini, the pedestrian shopping street that is right next to the Arena. Along via Mazzini we will arrive at the entrance of Juliet’s House, a visit not to be missed. Once you pass the door with all the love writings that have now been covered by layers and layers of cards, you arrive in the courtyard overlooking the famous balcony. Just below the balcony is the entrance to the museum that allows you to visit the rooms of the house and most of all to look out of the balcony.

Return to Piazza Brà, where our tour bus will be waiting to take us to Abano Terme where the hotel is located. Arrival and check in. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Venice – Abano Terme

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus to the city of Venice. Arrival at the “Tronchetto ” and take a private boat to Piazza San Marco. Guided tour of the city with historical and artistic illustration of the most famous monuments: St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace (external visit), Bridge of Sighs and walk to Rialto. Free time available for personal activities, lunch on own, and shopping.

In the early afternoon an excursion by boat to the island of Murano. Free time to visit the local artisan laboratories. Return to the “Tronchetto ” to meet the tour bus to take you to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Cinque Terre – Portovenere

Breakfast at the hotel. Load luggage and depart for the Cinque Terre. Arrival in Portovenere. Hotel check in and lunch on own.

In the afternoon a guided tour of Portovenere, declared World Heritage site. This picturesque seaside village of Roman Times is located on a rock spur overlooking the Emerald Sea and framed by three islands “Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto ” giving an almost unreal charm. We will visit the Church of San Pietro erected on the promontory that can be reached through the village, the Cave of Byron, the castle and the Church of San Lorenzo.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Cinque Terre: Vernazza e Monterosso – Firenze

Breakfast at the hotel. Load luggage and transfer to the port of La Spezia and departure by boat for a guided excursion to the Cinque Terre.

Arrive in Vernazza and visit this wonderful fishing village, among the most characteristic of the 5 lands. Visit of the beautiful Gothic-Ligurian church dedicated to St. Margaret of Antioch.

Continue to Monterosso, the town that enjoys a magnificent panorama, located between two open valleys, between vineyards, olives and lemons, each ending in its own beach; You will be able to admire the splendid Gothic-Ligurian-Pisan Church of St. John the Baptist (XII century) and the remains of medieval buildings.

In the afternoon continue by train to Levanto where we will wait for the bus to transfer to the city of Florence. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 6: Florence: historical center – Accademia Gallery

Breakfastat the hotel. Load luggage. In the morning a guided tour of the city of Florence: The Duomo, next to Giotto’s bell tower and fronted by the baptistery of San Giovanni, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the Piazza della Signoria, the district of Santa Croce with the homonymous basilica, Ponte Vecchio.

Lunch on your own.

In the early afternoon visit the Accademia Gallery where you can admire Michelangelo’s David.

Continue by tour bus to the city of Rome.

Arrive at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Vatican City – Imperial Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning guided tour of the Vatican City: Piazza San Pietro is one of the most famous squares in the world, and is located in front of the Basilica of St. Peter, all surrounded with the memory of the first pope, the Apostle and martyr Peter. The patriarchal Basilica of St. Peter is the major papal Basilica of Rome, often described as the largest church in the world and the pulsating center of Catholicism.

Visit inside the Basilica where we could appreciate several masterpieces of inestimable historical and artistic value including: The Pietà of Michelangelo, the canopy of G.L. Bernini, the Dome of Michelangelo, the Holy Door, etc. Visit of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums.

Lunch at a restaurant.

The afternoon begins with the guided tour of “Imperial Rome”: we will see the Campidoglio; The square was designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti who drew it in detail, including paving. The square also has a particular plan, since Michelangelo built the palaces in order to create a perspective.

Continuing with the Fori Imperiali, which constitute a series of monumental squares built in the course of a century and a half (between 46 B.C. and 113 A.D.) in the heart of the city of Rome by the emperors. Guided tour of the imposing Flavian Amphitheatre, the Colosseum, capable of holding up to 50,000 spectators, was the largest and most important amphitheater of the imperial era.

It was used for gladiator shows and other public events (hunting shows, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on classical mythology). It clearly expresses the Roman architectural and constructive conceptions of the early Imperial age.

Dinner in a typical Roman pizzeria. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Rome center

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning the guided tour will begin with the famous streets and squares that make the city of Rome unique, like the famous Via del Corso, known as the street of the center of Rome that connects Piazza Venezia to Piazza del Popolo, where there are a large number of noble palaces and churches.

We will see the famous Trevi Fountain together with Piazza di Spagna, with the steps of Trinità dei Monti, is one of the most famous squares of Rome, passing from Via dei Condotti until reaching the Pantheon.

Lunch at a restaurant.

In the afternoon free time available for personal activities in the city center.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Load luggage and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the USA
