Day 1: Departure from Las Vegas or other major US city

Day 2: Arrival to Vienna
Upon arrival to the European capital of music, you check in to the hotel in the very heart of the city.

The rest of the day is free for you to either relax or start exploring glorious Vienna on your own.

Day 3: Guided Vienna Sightseeing Tour & Evening Strauss & Mozart Concert at Kursalon Vienna
Following breakfast at the hotel, your guide takes you on a 3-hour walking tour through the downtown area of Vienna.

You start at the State Opera House and walk through the Kärntnerstrasse, a shopping street in the pedestrian zone of the city center, to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. You continue your walk along the Graben und the Kohlmarkt, a very exquisite shopping area, to Imperial Palace Hofburg, the former winter residence of the Habsburgs. It now houses the Imperial Apartments, Sisi Museum, Imperial Silver Chamber, Austrian National Library and much more.

The next on your list is Ring avenue with its numerous magnificent buildings, such as the Museums of Fine Art and National History, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater, to name a few. During the tour you also see Neuer Markt and the Capuchin monastery.

In the evening you are invited to a fantastic music concert performed by the Salonorchester Alt Wien, one of the best-known interpreters of classical Viennese music. The event is held in the magnificent Lanner Hall of the Kursalon, built in the 1860s in Renaissance style.

Transfers to and from the concert are included. 

Day 4: Belvedere Palace Tour & Departure to Salzburg
After breakfast your guide and driver take you on a tour to the Belvedere Palace – a historic building complex in Vienna, Austria, consisting of two Baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables.

The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape in the third district of the city, on the south-eastern edge of its centre. It houses the Belvedere museum. The grounds are set on a gentle gradient and include decorative tiered fountains and cascades, Baroque sculptures, and majestic wrought iron gates. 

After the tour you depart to our next destination – Salzburg.

Day 5: Salzburg City Tour with Mirabell Palace & Fortress Hohensalzburg
Today you meet your private guide and embark on a exciting tour of Salzburg and the Lake Region. 

You discover the UNESCO-listed Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg with its medieval fortress, baroque palaces and churches. You see the Getreidegasse and Mozart’s birthplace, pass by the Festival Houses where the Salzburg Festival is held every year, stroll along the narrow streets and enjoy the flair of this old city. 

We then visit the Mirabell Palace, built in 1606 and one of the most prominent buildings in Salzburg’s Old Town. Mirabell Palace is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. The Palace has a stunning marble hall and beautiful garden decorated with mythological sculptures. 

Last but not least – Fortress Hohensalzburg located on the top of Festungsberg and looking at the city high from above. 

From here, you see Salzburg in all its beauty and for 360 degrees. The Fortress counts as the biggest fully saved Castle in Central Europe and attracts travelers from all over the world to take postcard-like photos and enjoy the landscape. 

Day 6: Travel to Munich via Salzwelten Salzburg & Herrenchiemsee Palace
Today after breakfast you check out from your hotel and depart from Salzburg.

We start the day with a visit to the 490 year old salt mines at Berchtesgaden. Slip into traditional miners’ clothes and take the miners’ train deep into the mountain.

Experience the fascinating underground world of the salt-miners and discover the charm of the magnificently illuminated subterranean landscape. Take the slides down to the Salt Lake which you will be crossing by boat. After this 2-hour unique tour you will have the opportunity to explore the little picturesque town of Berchtesgaden tasting some Bavarian specialties.  

Along the way we then visit the Herrenchiemsee Palace. Herreninsel boasts wonderful Herrenchiemsee, a palace built by King Ludwig II in 1878 in the image of Versailles in France.

In some respects, however, Herrenchiemsee actually surpasses Versailes – its Hall of Mirrors is a famous example. With its elegant gardens and walkways and the beautiful interiors of gold, glass, and porcelain, the palace is a visually stunning monument to opulence. 

Following the tour, we head to Munich.

Arrival to Munich
Welcome to the magnificent capital of Bavaria! Upon arrival, you meet your driver and head for your centrally located hotel. After check-in the rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy Munich on your own.

Day 7: Munich City Tour
After breakfast, you meet your private guide and go on a fascinating 3-hour tour of Munich’s beautiful old town to get an insight into the city’s turbulent 850-year history.

With its exuberant atmosphere and vitality, Munich is one of Europe’s great cultural centers. Enjoy your city tour around Marien Square, Church of Our Lady and Residenz Palace.

In the ancient part of the town the world-famous Hofbrauhaus, the medieval town gates, and the colorful open-air market Viktualienmarkt are waiting for you. Munich’s elegant Maximilian Street offers views at the Bavarian Parliament, Deutsches Museum, Royal Palace and the Opera House. You also pass by Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (Feldherrnhalle), and House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the Angel of Peace.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Dachau Concentration Camp & Third Reich Sites
Meet your driver-guide and drive 12 miles to the North from Munich to explore the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, the site of the former concentration camp, well-known for being the first concentration camp of the Nazis. The camp served as a model for all the other camps and as a “school of violence” for the SS men.

During the tour, you walk through the historical buildings and the exhibition to discover the history associated with this dark place that became the center of all the camps throughout southern Germany and Austria, collectively called Dachau. Until April 29, 1945, when U.S. troops liberated the survivors of the camp, over 200000 prisoners have been registered at the main Dachau camp.

On the way back, together with your driver-guide, you stop at several historical sites connected with the Third Reich in Munich, where the Nazi Party was first founded. 

Day 9: Travel to Zurich via Neuschwanstein Castle & Bavarian Alps
Experience a truly royal day tour of the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle which inspired Walt Disney!

Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.4 million people visit “the castle of the fairy-tale king”. Each summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were initially intended for a single inhabitant.

During the guided group tour of the castle, you learn about the eccentric Fairy Tale King Ludwig II, a builder of this imposing landmark, his complicated life in Bavaria at the start of the Second Reich and his life-long friendship with the composer Richard Wagner.

Following the tour we follow the scenic route to Zurich, Switzerland.

Arrival to Zurich
Welcome to the largest city in Switzerland – Zurich! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your remarkable hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free, so you can relax in your room, have dinner in a local restaurant, start exploring the nearby attractions or join our carefully planned optional tour.

Day 10: Exploring Lucerne Region & Mount Pilatus
Following breakfast, you head to the railway station to take a train to Lucerne. In about 50 minutes you meet your guide at the station of Lucerne.

Then you are invited to take an unforgettable trip with your private guide who shows you the magnificent views of Mount Pilatus and the Lucerne region. The tour starts with a cruise across the Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad. There you board the famous cogwheel train that takes you across the world’s steepest railway passing through lush Alpine meadows, spectacular rocks and sparkling mountain streams to the top of Mt Pilatus, the altitude of which is 2,132 m (6,995 ft).

For the return journey, you ride a cable car to enjoy the fantastic scenery once again. As the last part of your magnificent tour, you take a 20-minute bus from Kriens to Lucerne. Tickets* for a public boat cruise, cogwheel train, cable car, and bus are included.

Please note: boat and cogwheel train are available only from middle of May to September. The rest of the year they are replaced with cable car and bus.

After the tour, you take a train back to Zurich. The rest of the evening is free.

Day 11: Departure Home
Following breakfast, you check out from the hotel, and your driver takes you to the airport for the departure.
