Day 1: 05/31/2019: Flight from Las Vegas (or another airport) to Rome, Italy

Day 2: 06/01/2019: City of Rome
Arrival in Rome. Check in your hotel. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon guided tour of “Imperial Rome”(outside visit). We will see the Campidoglio. The square was designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti who drew it in detail, including paving. The square also has a particular design, since Michelangelo built the palaces in order to create a perspective.
Continuing with the “Fori Imperiali”, which constitute a series of monumental squares built in the course of a century and a half (between 46 B.C. and 113 A.D.), in the heart of the city of Rome by the emperors. Guided tour of the imposing Flavian Amphitheatre, the Colosseum, capable of holding up to 50,000 spectators, was the largest and most important amphitheater of the imperial era.
The Colosseum was used for gladiator shows and other public events (hunting shows, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on classical mythology). It clearly expresses the Roman architectural and constructive conceptions of the early Imperial age.
We will see the famous Trevi Fountain and Piazza di Spagna, with the steps of Trinità dei Monti, one of the most famous squares of Rome.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: 06/02/2019: Morning Vatican and city visit – Start of cruise
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning guided tour of Vatican City: Piazza San Pietro is one of the most famous squares in the world, and is located in front of the Basilica of St. Peter, all surrounded with the memory of the first pope, the Apostle and martyr Peter. The patriarchal Basilica of St. Peter is the major papal Basilica of Rome, often described as the largest church in the world and the pulsating center of Catholicism.
Visit inside the Basilica where we will appreciate several masterpieces of inestimable historical and artistic value including: The Pietà of Michelangelo, the canopy of G.L. Bernini, the Dome of Michelangelo, the Holy Door, etc. Visit of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums.
In the early afternoon transfer to the port of Civitavecchia for boarding the MSC cruise. Lunch on board.
Day 4: 06/03/2019: Cruise – Palermo 10:00am arrival, 6:00pm departure. (Optional visit of Palermo.)
Day 5: 06/04/2019: Cruise – Cagliari 9:00am arrival, 5:00pm departure. (Optional visit of Cagliari)
Day 6: 06/05/2019: Cruise – Palma de Mallorca (Spain) 1:00pm arrival, midnight departure. (Optional visit of Palma de Mallorca)
Day 7: 06/06/2019: Cruise – Valencia (Spain) 8:00am arrival, 4:00pm departure. (Optional visit of Valencia)
Day 8: 06/07/2019: Cruise – Marseille (France) 12:30pm arrival, 8:00pm departure. (Optional visit of Marseille)
Day 9: 06/08/2019: Cruise – Genoa (Italy) 8:00am arrival, 6:00pm departure. (Optional visit of Genoa)
Day 10: 06/09/2019: End of cruise – Visit Siena
7:00am arrival at Civitavecchia.
Continue by coach to the city of Siena.
Lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon visit the cultural center of Siena. Siena is a gothic pearl, perfectly nested between its original walls with a cathedral that is considered the most beautiful in Italy. Siena is also famous for its Palio. We will visit Piazza del Duomo that has the great cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and its roman bell tower with black and white stripes. We will continue to visit Piazza di Campo, that is surely an example of the most evocative of civil architecture in the world.
Continue to Pistoia. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight.
Day 11: 06/10/2019: City of Florence
Full day dedicated to visiting the city of Florence.
Florence: historical center – Accademia Gallery
Breakfastat the hotel. Load luggage. In the morning a guided tour of the city of Florence: The Duomo, next to Giotto’s bell tower and fronted by the baptistery of San Giovanni, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the Piazza della Signoria, the district of Santa Croce with the homonymous basilica and Ponte Vecchio.
Lunch at a restaurant
In the early afternoon visit the Accademia Gallery where you can admire Michelangelo’s David.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: 06/11/2019: Abano Terme – City of Padua
Departure for Abano Terme. Hotel accommodation and lunch.
In the afternoon visit the city of Padua and the Basilica of Saint Anthony. A massive and complex religious construction built after the death of the saint in 1232; a surprising mix of varied architectural styles, with eight domes and two bell towers. Inside the Basilica, in the chapel of the saint, you can view the body of the saint.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 13: 06/12/2019: City of Venice
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus to the city of Venice. Arrival at the “Tronchetto ” taking a private boat to Piazza San Marco. Guided tour of the city with historical and artistic illustration of the most famous monuments: St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace (external visit), Bridge of Sighs and walk to Rialto.
Free time available for personal activities, lunch on own, and shopping. Free time to visit Venice on your own. Return to the “Tronchetto ” to meet the tour bus to take you to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14: 06/13/2019: Return to the United States
Departure by air from the airport of Venice to Las Vegas (or other city).
